Love thy neighbor as thyself. It is hard to see an enemy as a neighbor after years of thinking of him as evil. Some make it easy for themselves, and interpret the meaning of 'neighbor' as 'Jew', but Rabbi Kook, the father of religious Zionism, was the one who interpreted the commandment as if it has a global meaning: "The highest status in human love should be the love of man, and it should spread to the whole of mankind, despite all changes in religions and beliefs".
