Open Borders  I  Keren Farago & Ashkan Roayaee

“It is more than an artistic gesture, because you are Israeli, and I am Iranian.”

Wrote excitedly Ashkan Roayaee, An Iranian photographer to his friend, Keren Farago, establishing a collaboration in little words.

In search of inspiration, artist Keren Farago stumbled upon Rohayaee's Instagram feed, documenting Dance and dancers. That had hit close to home.

She began sketching, sewing, and embodying - his photos serving as inspiration - striking a cooperation and a friendship.

With not a word on politics. Rather, they use words of friendship and artistic development. Her work shows use of the Hebrew language and ready-made materials created in Israel, while his photos show similar indicators, such as using a traditional Persian textile.
