A Typographic Creation Of Peace And Coexistence  I  Leechen Karlinsky

Typographic poster showing a language familiar to the artist, Hebrew, combined with a foreign language, Arabic.

The two languages are presented together, as our minds naturally and harmoniously complete the missing image and translating the Arabic letters into a coherent message in Hebrew. The message received is that typography shows the aspiration for shared life between the two nations, which are represented by the two languages, and the difficulties involved in achieving this goal.

The iconic sentence presented in the poster was told by Menachem Begin, the architect of the peace agreement between Israel and Egypt.
