The White Burqa made of fused glass is part of an installation, exploring the search for peace in a complex environment.  The glass is strong and yet fragile, thus reflecting the fragility of the peace process.  Keys are embedded within the glass, often cracking it or sticking outside of the glass, symbolizing both the search and the powers of opening and closing. Keys may lock someone in, depriving people of their freedom, or unlock doors freeing whomever or whatever is locked inside. The burqa represents the partners for peace and the color white the peace itself.
